COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

Big-time signings at Columbus High on Tuesday, with two members of the girl's basketball team signed with SEC schools.

Forward Tatyana Wyatt committed to Kentucky, while center Ariyah Copeland is heading to Alabama.

They’re teammates this year, but next year they’ll be on opposite sides.

“Yes, we already talked about it,” Copeland said. “It's not going to be easy. It's going to be fun to watch. We're going to go at it and whoever wins the game is the big winner.”

“It's pretty exciting actually,” Wyatt said. “It would have been nice if we could have went to the same school, but it's going to be nice to play against her and know somebody from another school.”

They've still got a year to work together, as Columbus High starts the season Friday against Spencer.
