TALLASSEE, AL (WTVM) - A Goodwater man was arrested and charged with a Nov. 7 robbery of a bank in Tallassee.
On Wednesday, Tallassee Police investigators charged Mark Joseph Colley, 33, of Goodwater, AL, with first-degree property theft and third-degree robbery for the Nov. 7 robbery of the BB&T branch in Tallassee, AL.
Colley was identified following a detailed investigation involving officers, deputies and agents from the Tallassee Police Department, Elmore County Sheriff's Office, Alexander City Police Department, Coosa County Sheriff's Office, and the FBI.
"In addition to the assisting law enforcement agencies, the Tallassee Police Department would like to recognize and thank the numerous businesses and citizens whose invaluable assistance enabled investigators to identify Colley," investigators said in a press release.
Colley is currently being held in the Elmore County Jail on charges stemming from the BB&T robbery and other unrelated charges. His bond for the BB&T robbery is set at $15,000.
