Opelika police search for check fraud suspect

OPELIKA, AL (WTVM) - The Opelika Police Department has released surveillance images in hopes of identifying a check fraud suspect. 

OPD says the person in the photos is wanted for second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument. Police say that the unidentified man attempted to cash a forged check at Charter Bank, located at 701 2nd Avenue in Opelika on Sept. 9. 

The man left the bank after he was asked by the teller to present identification.
