COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Columbus native and Cleveland Browns running back Isaiah Crowell is helping his home church give back this holiday season.

Crowell's home church, South Columbus United Methodist Church, is holding their 100 Families fundraiser - just two days before Thanksgiving.

South Columbus UMC's Rev. Reggie Williams and the congregation has selected families to donate food to this Thanksgiving. Crowell has donated 100 turkeys toward the effort.

"I love my church and I love my hometown. Crowell said. "This is another way for my family and me to show our love for Columbus."

The food drive will take place at the church, located at 1213 Benning Drive on Tuesday.

Crowell will not be in attendance at this event.
