AUBURN, AL (WTVM) – One convenience store suspect has been arrested over the weekend on burglary charges.
Auburn Police arrested Jason Eric Woodall, age 41, from Opelika on Saturday.
Woodall was arrested and charged with second-degree burglary, fourth-degree theft of property, possession of drug paraphernalia, and giving false information to police.
On Thursday around 12:30 a.m., officers responded to an alarm at a closed convenience store in the 7300 block of US Highway 280. Officers discovered that someone had forced entry into the business and stole numerous packages of cigarettes, cigars, and bottles of liquor.
Woodall was transported to the Lee County Jail where he is being held on a $5,500 bond.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are anticipated.
