TUSCALOOSA, AL (WBRC) -

Tuscaloosa police arrested two people on Friday, Nov. 26 who were wanted in connection to the murder of Gary Spitzer in Pink Hill, NC on Nov. 20.

Tuscaloosa officers assisted the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office and the Pink Hill Police Department by taking Phoebe Morgan and Eugene McDonald into custody without incident.

Investigators described Morgan as a 46-year-old white female and McDonald as a 54-year-old white male.

McDonald lived in the Southfork Trailer Park in Duncanville and Morgan lived in Alberta City off of 25th Avenue East, Captain Gary Hood said. They were taken into custody without incident.

Morgan and McDonald were acquaintances, according to Captain Hood.

Officers also executed search warrants and seized a vehicle believed to be involved in the murder.

Morgan and McDonald are being held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail pending extradition.
