CPD searches for murder suspect who stole elderly victim's car

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - The Columbus Police Department is looking for a murder suspect who left the scene in the victim's car.

CPD says that Peggy Gamble, 83, was found dead at her 8th Street home shortly after 2 p.m. Monday. Officials say they are investigating her death as a homicide. 

Neighbors say Gamble kept to herself and rarely left her house unless she went to church. 

Police discovered that her 1988 Toyota Corolla was taken during the crime. The car was later found Monday night, according to police.
