Lanett man arrested for kidnapping, sexual abuse

PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM) – A Lanett, AL man has been arrested for sexual abuse and other charges following a Phenix City police investigation.

On Nov. 26, officers met with a female victim at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika where a victim reported being kidnapped and assaulted by a man she has been dating, 25-year-old Kadelen Devyon Holstick.

The investigation revealed that the victim was picked up the evening of Nov. 25 by Holstick at a residence in Columbus, GA.

The victim was then taken against her will into Phenix City, AL to the Colonial Inn located at 905 US Hwy. 280 where the victim was both sexually and physically assaulted by Holstick.  

Holstick then drove the victim to Opelika, AL, where the victim was able to exit the vehicle and run for help into a business, asking them to call 911. 

The victim was then taken by ambulance to East Alabama Medical Center for treatment. The victim suffered several injuries to include, broken arms, numerous cigarette burns, bruises, cuts, and contusions.

Arrest warrants were issued for Holstick and members from the U S Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force assisted in attempting to locate him.

Holstick turned himself in the law enforcement on Nov. 28 without incident and is currently in the Russell County Jail. 

He has been charged with the following offenses:

  • Kidnapping 1st Degree
  • Domestic Violence Assault 1st Degree
  • Domestic Violence Strangulation
  • Sexual Torture
  • Sexual Abuse 1st Degree

Family members of the victims are concerned for the safety of the community, as are new members of the Clemency Board. CBS 5 Investigates videotaped Huff riding a bike through his Tucson neighborhood. There are no restrictions placed on his proximity to children.
