CPD searching for 'armed and dangerous man' wanted for robberies

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – Columbus police are searching for a man wanted for two robberies.

Taquawn Pollard, 42, has a warrant for the robbery of Best Pawn located at 4315 Holly Avenue on Oct. 7, 2016. The second robbery warrant is for the robbery of Cash America located at 2419 Manchester Expressway on Oct. 21, 2016.

Pollard also has three felony violation of probation warrants. He is considered armed and dangerous and will resist arrest, according to Columbus police.

He is described as weighing 150 pounds, 5'6," with black hair, brown eyes and short hair above the ears.

Pollard is known to be in the East Wynnton, Beallwood and North Highland areas of Columbus.

    William Huff terrorized Sierra Vista during the spring and summer of 1967. Despite a sentence of 40 years to life, the Arizona Board of Executive Clemency voted to release him from prison into home arrest. Family members of the victims are concerned for the safety of the community, as are new members of the Clemency Board. CBS 5 Investigates videotaped Huff riding a bike through his Tucson neighborhood. There are no restrictions placed on his proximity to children.
