(WTVM) - Former Auburn High and Troup Tiger Reuben Foster is already taking home some hardware for the Alabama Crimson Tide.
He won the Dick Butkus Award for the nation's best linebacker Sunday night. Foster has a team-high 94 tackles with 12.0 tackles for loss and four sacks.
He becomes the fourth Crimson Tide linebacker to win the award... joining Derrick Thomas, Rolando McClain and C.J. Mosley.
It wraps up an impressive weekend for the senior. He won the MVP award for the SEC Championship Saturday night, with 11 tackles, two sacks, and 2.5 tackles for loss in a 54-16 victory over Florida.
Foster and the Crimson Tide face Washington in the College Football Playoff Semifinal December 31st at 3 p.m. eastern in the Georgia Dome.
