CFD donates bike to Chattahoochee Valley kids

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - The Columbus fire department is bringing joy to deserving kids across the Chattahoochee Valley.

The department received bikes from Walmart locations across the Greater Chattahoochee Valley.

The donated bicycles are slightly damaged so the Columbus Fire Fighters are going to put a little bit of their spare time to repair the bikes.

"The guys at Station 6B came together along with 6C did some bikes also," CFD Capt. Brice Patterson said. "We fixed a lot of these bikes and we brought them to open door Community House to donate them to some deserving families - that they are going to get for Christmas this next coming week."

Each fire station will pick a local organization to donate the bicycles to for the holidays.
