AUBURN, AL (WTVM) – It certainly looks a lot like Christmas at the Hotel at Auburn University.

Plenty of candy, and 100 pounds of icing adding extra holiday spirit to what is known as the Auburn Gingerbread Village.

The display features see to scale gingerbread replicas of some favorite Auburn area buildings.

So what exactly goes into making these displays? A total of 750 pounds of gingerbread, 100 pounds of royal icing, 75 pounds of candy, 212 gelatin sheets, and 15 pounds of gum paste.

The display will remain up until the New Year.
