COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – Columbus police are searching for the person involved in the deadly shooting of 25-year-old Bobby Seawright.
According to police, Seawright was found shot to death at the intersection of Branton Woods Drive and Branton Lane early Saturday morning.
An investigation revealed that Seawright had just taken a friend of his home, and he was leaving the area in his vehicle when he came into contact with an individual walking down the street.
The interaction led to Seawright stopping his vehicle near the intersection of Branton Woods Drive and Branton Woods Lane. That's when he was shot and the suspect fled the area.
Witnesses described the suspect as a black male between the ages of 19 and 30, around 5'8," to 6' tall, medium build between 150 to 180 pounds and he was wearing a gray hoodie-type sweatshirt and dark colored pants.
