EUFAULA, AL (WTVM) – The Eufaula Police Department has made an arrest in connection with a crash that struck a 10-year-old pedestrian Monday night.
The crash happened just south of the Highway 30 intersection in front of the Hobo Pantry Store when a blue 2015 Dodge 1500 pickup traveling South on Eufaula Avenue struck and severely injured a 10-year-old boy who was a pedestrian.
The driver of the pickup, Holly Moulton, 37 of Eufaula was arrested at the scene for driving under the influence of alcohol and has been charged additionally with assault in the first-degree.
Moulton is being held in the Eufaula City Jail and she is awaiting a bond hearing.
The victim was airlifted to Children's Hospital in Birmingham with potentially life-threatening injuries.
The 10-year-old boy is now in critical condition. This crash continues to be investigated.
