PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM) – The American Legion Post 135 and the central Alabama health care system came together to host the second Women's Veterans exposition in Phenix City.
The organization's goal is to ensure veterans have ample opportunity to access VA resources, especially women veterans.
One of their main focuses is to eliminate homelessness among veterans.
"What we're trying to do is get the word out about our Women's Health Services so that our veterans will know how to enter Central Alabama Health Care System and the type of services that we have as well as community resources," said Peggy Hall, Women's Veterans program manager.
The fair hosted an array of resources from different organizations including Veteran Justice, housing resources, and employment agencies.
