Thibodeaux’s restaurant hit by fire early Sunday morning

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

The Columbus Fire Department was on the scene of a fire at a Cajun restaurant early Sunday morning. 

Columbus Fire Chief Jeff Meyer says the fire broke out about 6 a.m. at Thibodeaux’s Low Country Boil and Wings on Whittlesey Boulevard.

No injuries have been reported at this time, and officials are still working to determine the cause of the fire.

This is the second fire at Thibodeaux's in less than two years. The restaurant previously caught fire in August 2015.

    Since September, employees have been given three options:  Get the flu shot, get an approved religious or medical exemption, or leave Essentia. At least 50 people have lost their jobs thus far.
