2 arrested, 2 wanted in connection to deadly 5 Corner Lotto shooting

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

The Columbus Police Department has made two arrests in connection to the fatal shooting at 5 Corner Lotto last November. 

Columbus Police Captain Gordon Griswould confirms that 18-year-old Dominique Collins and 18-year-old Jalontaye Cleveland have been arrested in the Nov. 6, 2016 shooting death of 23-year-old Vastal Patel.

Additionally, an arrest warrant has been issued for 26-year-old Courtney Williams of Stewart County, GA and 30-year-old Kimberly Huffman. Both should be considered armed and dangerous. If you have any information on their whereabouts, you are asked to call 911 or Sgt. A. Locey at (706) 225-4291.

Patel’s father was also shot but survived during the robbery at their store, located at Linwood and 13th Street.

Collins was apprehended in Kentucky and brought back to Columbus on Monday night. He is scheduled to appear in Recorder's Court on Thursday, Feb. 9 at 9 a.m.

Cleveland is scheduled to appear in Recorder’s Court on Friday, Feb. 10 at 9 a.m.
