FORT BENNING, GA (WTVM) - For the second year, the Spartan Race Sprint event is giving civilians an opportunity to compete on a real military training course.
During the muddy challenge on April 8, participants will be running, climbing rope, crawling underneath barb wire and picking up heavy objects.
The event is part of the 2017 Best Ranger Competition, which tests the will of the best soldiers in the world.
"Spartan loves being partnered with the U.S. Army, especially here at Benning, the home of the Rangers," said retired Colonel Tim Nye. "This is a perfect marriage because we have the exact same philosophy. This is about teamwork this is about challenge and overcoming obstacles."
