COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - February is National Children's Dental Health and Columbus Dental Clinic Director, Dr. Vanessa Downer, wants you to know the importance of good dental habits.
The clinic, located at the Columbus Health Department, offers oral health education, cleanings, comprehensive exams, and much more.
With just a few steps, parents can help their children learn how to care for their teeth. Be sure to increase the amount of water and milk and limit sugary drinks, offer nutritional foods as a snack between meals, and If your child wants gum, make sure its sugar free. Also, make consistent brushing and flossing a habit.
Dr. Downer says, "These tips will help their teeth last a lifetime."
