CSU presents works by African-American authors

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Columbus State University officials and members of the community are recognizing black history.

On Thursday, six speakers presented readings and interpretations of works by African-American authors.

The event was hosted by CSU's English department as a way to recognize great works and the culture this month represents.

"Here on the campus in the English department we have a very vibrant literature department and one of the things we emphasize in the month of February is literature by black African-American authors in the United States," said co-coordinator Natasha David-Walker.

The event took place at the forum area of the Schwob Memorial Library at CSU.
