COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – A Columbus teen charged with murder following a shooting on Branton Woods Drive last year will remain in a youth detention center.

James Oliver, 16, was denied bond Friday morning in a Columbus courtroom.

Oliver faces murder charges for the December 2016 shooting that claimed the life of 25-year-old Bobby Seawright.

Attorney Stacey Jackson, who is representing Oliver, says Oliver claims he was not the shooter or present at the crime scene.
