LEE COUNTY, AL (WTVM) – An east Alabama man was found guilty of murdering his longtime friend in 2015.
According to OAnow.com, Robert Orr was found guilty Friday afternoon on murder charges for the killing of Josh Peek.
The jury returned the guilty verdict after deliberating for more than eight hours over two days at the Lee County T.K. Davis Justice Center in Opelika.
Gentry Jackson, Lee County assistant district attorney, said she was thankful to the jury and the family and friends of the victim.
Police believe the two got into an argument over a piece of property when the shooting happened in March of 2015.
Orr is scheduled to be sentenced on May 31.
