Lafayette, AL (WTVM) - On Wednesday, Feb. 22, at approximately 3:45 p.m., Chambers County deputies were called to a residence in the 10000 block of U.S. 431, south of Lafayette regarding an assault.
Deputies learned that a female had been forced into a vehicle against her will. When they arrived at the residence, deputies found a man bleeding from the head.
Just minutes later, officers from Opelika Police Department located the suspect vehicle near I-85 and Andrews Road and successfully detained the suspect.
The female victim was released. The suspect was identified as Theslus Brett Conn, 30 of Lafayette.
He was arrested for assault in the second degree, burglary in the second degree, and kidnapping in the second degree.
Conn is being held at the Chambers County Detention Facility with no bond.
