COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – The pre-k and kindergarten registration process will be open until March 31 in Columbus.
Parents of potential pre-k students may access applications at any of the nine Early Learning Success Centers or on the Muscogee County school's website.
Eligible pre-k students must have a birthday that falls between Sept. 2, 2012 – Sept. 1, 2013.
Proof of age and residency will be required if a seat Is granted. Parents are also encouraged to register their child for Kindergarten at the zone school of assignment during the month of March to ensure timely and sufficient student and teacher assignments across the district.
Kindergarten school assignments are based on the legal residential address of the custodial parent or legal guardian. Two proofs of residency in Muscogee County, which includes a lease/mortgage, current utility bill, birth certificate and social security card are required before a school assignment is granted.
