Miss GA Pageant hosts forum in Columbus

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - The Miss Georgia Pageant celebrates 73 years with the annual Miss Georgia Forum Weekend at Columbus State University.

More than 99 contestants for Miss Georgia and Miss Georgia Outstanding Teen will take part in various workshops preparing for the state competition on Saturday, March 4 and Sunday, March 5.

On Saturday, contestants attended a superhero and villain-themed forum party, all fighting for the Children's Miracle Network.

"I'm brand new, so this is a brand new world for me," said Miss Georgia contestant Chelsey Rogers. "I won Miss Columbus State University about a month ago on January 21. So, we're here at forum we have like 50 girls competing for Miss Georgia, and it's such an exciting experience."

The official Miss Georgia and Miss Georgia Outstanding Teen Pageants will be held in June at the RiverCenter for the Performing Arts.
