COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - People in the Fountain City can soon "eat more chicken."
Chick-fil-A held a groundbreaking Tuesday at the site of its new location on Manchester Expressway.
Columbus Mayor Teresa Tomlinson and other members of the Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce were on hand for the ceremony.
The new restaurant will bring 150 jobs, and owner Alex Vann says he wants the new restaurant to be more accessible to customers.
"We want to be where the community is," Vann said. "You have it tremendously here with I-185 and Manchester Expressway two of the busiest roads in our region. So, this gives us the opportunity to be where our customers are."
The new location is set to open this summer.
