CPD arrests last two murder suspects wanted in connection to the 5 Corner Lotto murder

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  Columbus police have arrested the last two suspects wanted in connection with the 5 Corner Lotto murder that killed 23-year-old Vatsel Patel on Nov. 6, 2016.

Muscogee County Jail has confirmed that 26-year-old Courtney Williams and 30-year-old Kimberly Huffman have been was booked in their facility.

Williams has been charged with the following offenses:

  • Murder
  • Felony probation violation
  • Two counts of aggravated assault
  • Two counts of armed robbery
  • False imprisonment
  • Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
  • Two counts of criminal trespass, family violence
  • Possession of a knife or a firearm during the commission of a crime

Huffman has been charged with the following offenses:

  • Murder
  • Hindering apprehension of person
  • Falsifying documents

Three other suspects have been arrested including Dominique Collins and Joshua Tucker and Jalontaye Cleveland.

The arrests stem from an incident that took place at the 5 Corner Lotto located at 1231 Linwood Blvd. when Vatsel Patel was shot during an armed robbery.

Williams and Huffman are expected to appear in Recorder's Court on March 21 at 9 a.m.
