MIDLAND, GA (WTVM) – The CEO of Midland based Path-Tec was named 2017 Georgia's Small Business Person of the Year Winner.
Kevin Boykin, CEO of Path-Tec LLC, received the special honor from Linda McMahon, the head of the U.S. Small Business Administration.
Path-Tec is a medical logistics company that specializes in the packaging, transport, and tracking of laboratory specimens.
Boykin, a veteran of the Air Force, founded the company in 2005 and now the company employs more than 150 workers.
All of the Small Business Person of the Year winners from the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands have been invited to attend ceremonies in Washington, D.C on April 30 – May 1 where they will be honored with their individual award along with recognition of the three runners-up and the naming of the 2017 National Small Business Person of the Year.
