Columbus woman arrested for allegedly leaving child at Burger King

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  A Columbus woman was arrested and charged with reckless conduct after allegedly leaving her 8-year-old child at Burger King.

According to police, a large group of people held a party at Burger King located on Veterans Parkway, and when everyone left, 29-year-old Angela Williams mistakenly left her child at the restaurant.

As soon as Williams realized her child was left at Burger King, she turned around, but child services had already been called out to the location. She was then charged with reckless conduct.

Williams is expected to be in Recorder's court on Wednesday, March 22 at 2 p.m.
