COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – The Columbus woman accused of leaving an 8-year-old girl is out of jail.

Angela Williams, 29, was supposed to make her first appearance in court this afternoon but was able to bond out beforehand on reckless conduct charges.

Williams was first taken into custody on Monday night after allegedly leaving her daughter at a Burger King on Veterans Parkway.

Columbus police tell us Williams was attending a party at the restaurant with 12 kids, including her daughter, and only two other adults.

It was over an hour before Williams realized she left her child. She returned to the location, but child protective services had already been contacted.

Williams was arrested at the scene.

The case has been bound over to state court. Williams will make her first appearance before a judge during that time.

We're working to find out when that court appearance will be.
