Suspect arrested in January 32nd Ave. shooting

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – Police say a suspect accused of being involved in the first shooting and homicide of 2017 in Columbus has been arrested.

The Muscogee County Jail confirms William Washington was arrested Wednesday for aggravated assault and simple battery.

He is currently in jail with no bond.

Dominique Horton was killed after being shot at a home in the 300 block of 32nd Avenue in January.

Police say the Washington fled the scene.

Washington will be in recorders court Friday morning at 9.
