COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – Cochlear America is helping people in the Chattahoochee Valley suffering from hearing loss with new technology.
The new hearing aids can bypass damaged hearing in the human ears and send the sound information to the undamaged part of the ear.
Thursday the group hosted events in Columbus to inform people and demonstrate the new devices.
"Recently we come out with some new processors which are much more technology advance and so we are offering this event so that individuals are using older technology can come in and try to listen to the new technology to see if that's more beneficial to them," said Megan Narron, Manager of Cochlear America.
Some of the features on the hearing aids include Bluetooth to wireless accessories and streaming wireless from your own devices.
