COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Amerigroup Community Care and Valley Healthcare Women's health held their annual Baby-Palooza today at the Shirley B. Winston Recreation Center on Steam Mill Road.
The event is a chance for new and expectant mothers to hear about resources available to them when it comes to child care.
Nurses were also on hand to give new moms important medical information.
Ashely Brinkley of Valley Healthcare System says, "Make sure you are getting prenatal care throughout the entire pregnancy. We also want to promote breast feeding. It has been found that breast feeding will get you a healthy baby once you deliver."
Other vendors at the event included enrichment services and the march of dimes.
There were also games, prizes, and refreshments for those in attendance.
