AUBURN, AL (WTVM) – Auburn University held a ribbon cutting ceremony Tuesday for a new university outreach center aimed at promoting Korean culture on the school's campus.
Korea Corner, located inside the Haley Center on campus, will increase access to materials on Korea for Auburn students and members of the local community.
Korea Corner was established with support from the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Atlanta and the Office of the Vice President for University Outreach.
"This Korea Corner will promote awareness of Korean culture, traditional and modern. So, we will of synergy between two institutions," said Seong-Jin Kim, Consul General Republic of Korea.
The center is designed to create educational experiences and strengthen the connection of members of the Korean community to American culture and society.
