COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - We're waking up to foggy skies in the Valley with visibility numbers very low. Take things slow as you get out! It's going to be a warm day with temperatures topping out at least 10 degrees above average this afternoon. The warm temperatures stick around for Thursday. We could see a passing shower this afternoon but our eyes are on the chance to see rain tomorrow night. The coverage looks to increase after dinnertime tomorrow. The system will track from the Plains bringing severe weather to folks to our west but our chance to see severe storms stays relatively low. This could change over the next day so please stay tuned to the forecast. The rain will quickly move out leaving us with dry skies Friday night and through the weekend. Temperatures will stay in the low to mid 80s through Sunday. We'll track another round of rain and storms to move in Monday. The rain chances stay up through Thursday of next week.
