#LetNannyGoToProm - Columbus organization invites Eufaula teen, grandma to prom

EUFAULA, AL (WTVM) – A story that has received international news coverage and making its rounds online continues.

A Eufaula High School student who was denied permission to take his grandma to prom has another prom offer.

Columbus, Georgia health clinic New Horizons Behavioral Health says they invited the two to participate in a prom Friday night.

Bryce and Catherine Maine tells us they were grateful, but will be out of town.

"My daughter and my grand-daughter, he went, his girlfriend went, we all looked and found the perfect dress. I tried it on and everybody in the store was just thrilled because I was going to the prom with him. And we brought it home. And then come to find out, you know, I can't go," said 'Nanny' Catherine Main.

Bryce asked his grandmother to be his prom date for the upcoming dance at Eufaula High but the school denied the request because of the rules in place.

#LetNannyGoToProm has been trending all over social media.
