COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – The suspect wanted in connection to the Wilson Homes deadly shooting has turned himself into police.

Adrian Pollard, 28, turned himself into police on Friday and was accompanied by his attorney Mark Shelnutt.

On March 24 around 5:39 p.m. police were called to the Wilson apartments regarding a shooting. When they arrived, officers found Maurice Mcghee suffering from a gunshot wound. He was then taken to Midtown Medical Center where he passed away.

An investigation led to warrants for being obtained for Pollard for murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

Pollard was then taken to the Muscogee County Jail.

His preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 3 at 9 a.m. in Recorder’s Court.
