3 people in custody in connection with fire that led to I-85 bridge collapse in Atlanta

ATLANTA, GA (WTVM) - Three people are in custody after a fire that caused a bridge to collapse on I-85, according to the state fire marshal's office.

Officers have identified the suspects as Basil Eleby, Sophia Bruner and Barry Thomas.

Their charges vary from criminal damage to property to criminal trespass.

Officials have not yet identified exactly how the fire started but Eleby did say they used material that was on site.

If you're heading that way this weekend, buckle up and prepare to wait as that stretch of interstate is closed indefinitely and will stay that way for quite some time.
