St. Ann-Pacelli now safe following lockdown during police chase

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School, located at 2020 Kay Cir., was under a safe perimeter status, or lockdown, due to a police chase in the area.

The incident happened around 11 a.m. on Monday and lasted around 10 minutes. Students, faculty, and staff were allowed to move freely with the school buildings, but they were not allowed outside.

Police have advised that the area is now safe for students to go outside.

St. Anne-Pacelli released the following statement in a release on Monday, “As part of our school's emergency plan, St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School makes it a priority to keep parents informed.”
