Local health organizations hosts health fair to honor community member

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Health organizations around the valley hosted an annual community health fair today in honor of Ronnie Allen, a beloved patient and community member who made it clear before he passed away he wanted his neighbors to manage their healthcare.

The fair included free services such as blood pressure checks, depression screenings, HIV screenings and ADHD education.

"Everything is free I think that they are doing depression screening, HIV testing, diabetes test, and whatever you have going on if you want to ask somebody come out and ask and we will point you in the right direction if it's not something that we can fix out here," said April Hartman, Medical Director at Columbus Regional Health.

Several doctors were also available to answer questions.

There was also free food and activities for children during the event.
