COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – It's Small Business Week and people are celebrating local small businesses and the positive impact they make in the region.
CB&T sponsored a small business week event Monday evening at the Village on 13th in Columbus.
It was a networking reception where business owners could socialize and share ideas.
Brian Anderson, President and CEO of the Columbus Chamber of Commerce, says small business are the backbone of any community.
"These are folks that have ideas and invest their hard-earned cash and take risks. Through that, they employ people and drive the economy. Small owned businesses drive the economy," said Brian Anderson, President and CEO of the Columbus Chamber of Commerce.
A proclamation from the city was read during the event declaring April 10-14 as Small Business Week in Columbus.
