OPELIKA, AL (WTVM) – More than 50 employers from Chambers, Lee and Randolph counties got the chance to hear from those searching for jobs.
This was part of a job fair hosted by the Opelika Campus of Southern Union State Community College.
Those looking for jobs got a chance to have their resumes looked at to see if they fit the criteria for any of the open jobs.
This was the third year the school has hosted the fair.
School officials say they have had great success from the event.
"Last year's job fair we had many employers that were interviewing on the spot. We had several people that left with a job. Our goal is to help students find jobs," said Cydney Mathews with Southern Union State Community College.
Some of the employers at Tuesday's fair included the Opelika Police Department and Kroger.
The fair was open to current students, alumnae, and the public.
