COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - St. Francis Hospital announced Charlene Falgout, DSL, as its new Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
She is responsible for managing and coordinating the nursing department and its daily operations.
Falgout is originally from Lake Charles, LA and spent the earliest years of her career leading nursing care in Women's Services. For 15 years she worked as a Nurse Manager and Clinical Educator at Brookwood Medical Center in the Birmingham area. For the last two years, she was the CNO for St. Joseph's Medical Center in Houston, TX.
"We are very excited that Charlene will be joining us as she is an excellent fit for the complexity of your organization," said CEO David Koontz.
Falgout received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from McNeese State University, masters in Public and Private Healthcare Management from Birmingham Southern University, and a doctorate in Strategic Leadership from Regent University.
Koontz describes her as a seasoned healthcare professional with more than 30 years of clinical and administrative healthcare experience.
In addition to overseeing the St. Francis' nursing department, Falgout will join the Clinical Leadership team to develop clinical and leadership strategies.
