Economic impact of the Paddle South Championships

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – Freestyle kayaking national championship, Paddle South, had a $28,000 impact on the Fountain City this weekend.

The two-day event brought Kayakers from across the country into Columbus.

The 2017 freestyle kayak champion of the men's division is Paul Palmer.

For the women's division, Adriene Lev-Connect took home the title.

The two-day event brought thousands to the Riverwalk.
