Fourth person arrested in March Eufaula Winn-Dixie shooting

EUFAULA, AL (WTVM) – A fourth person has been arrested and charged in connection with a shooting that happened at a Winn-Dixie in Eufaula.

According to the Eufaula Police Department, 21-year-old Emmett Thomas, of Georgetown, was arrested Monday morning for attempted murder and discharging a weapon into an unoccupied vehicle.

The charges are related to an investigation of a shooting which happened in March. One person was shot outside the Winn-Dixie on S. Eufaula Ave. and suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Last week, the U.S. Marshall's Fugitive Task Force also arrested 28-year-old George James Warren, 53-year-old Mary Jean Smith, and 31-year-old James Antonio Davis.

Smith and Warren face charges related to hindering prosecution while Davis is charged with certain persons forbidden to possess a pistol.
