Man accused of beating victim with pistol gets bond

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - A suspect in a November 2016 carjacking in Columbus received his bond information on Monday.

William Harris was given a $10,000 bond for possession of a firearm and $10,000 for aggravated assault. He was also given a $30,000 bond for hijacking.

Harris and Desmond Mitchell are both charged in the incident where police say they beat a victim with a pistol, then robbed him and stole his vehicle.

Harris was arrested in January and Mitchell was arrested in February.
