TROUP COUNTY, GA (WTVM) – The Troup County School System is implementing new school bus security cameras to protect students entering and exiting school buses.
Currently, 10 school buses are outfitted with the new cameras, which will capture illegal stop arm passing.
The system will capture video and actual photographs of cars passing the stop arm when the stop arm is out.
The video is then reviewed by a deputy to determine if the passing is deemed a citation, which can cost you $300 dollars for the first offense.
