Opelika police in search of two theft suspects

OPELIKA, AL (WTVM) -

Two theft suspects were reported shoplifting at an Opelika Hobby Lobby April 18. 

A male and female suspect allegedly concealed a large amount of merchandise inside of a black box at Hobby Lobby located at 2570 Enterprise Dr. Before leaving the store, the female suspect had a conversation with a cashier while the male exited the store with a buggy that contained the black box of stolen merchandise.

Opelika police are in search of a black female that is described as having light to medium complexion and short black hair. She is between the ages of 35-45 and weighs approximately 200-250 lbs. She was last seen wearing a white shirt, blue jeans, flip flops, and carrying a white purse. 

The male suspect is described as a light-skinned black male between the ages of 34-45 years old and between 5’9"-6’0" tall. He weighs approximately 175 lbs. He was last seen wearing a Nike hat, white shirt, khaki shorts. And white shoes.

Anyone with information regarding the identity of these two suspects or have any other information about the case is asked to call the Opelika Police Department’s Investigative Services Division at 334-405-5220.
