SLIDESHOW: Thursday severe weather in the Chattahoochee Valley

(WTVM) – Some parts of the Chattahoochee Valley was hit by severe weather on Thursday.

Viewers across the Valley have sent in pictures and videos of rain, low clouds and damage in the area.

A tornado watch was issued for some Georgia counties in the WTVM coverage area on Thursday and a tornado warning was issued Thursday afternoon for the central counties in our area.

The National Weather Service confirmed damage including a swath of trees and one home damaged along Rock Church Road in Talbot County.

In Lee County, there were reports of several trees down on and around a home in Lee Co. Road 550 in the Kensington Subdivision 2 miles north of Ladonia.

In Barbour County, law enforcement reports tree a possible tornado around 6 p.m. CT. Tree and structure damage in the city of Clayton. Information is not quite clear on if trees fell on a home, but two people were slightly injured in a home.
