COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Showers and storms are moving across the Valley this morning and will bring a low risk of severe storms to the area through the afternoon. The threats include gusty winds, isolated tornadoes, lightning and minor flooding. The commute into work will be messy for many but drier for the evening as coverage will drop after 2PM ET.
Sunshine and 80s return for Tuesday and Wednesday before another system moves into the area on Thursday.Thursday is another Alert Center Action Day so please stay tuned to the evolving forecast. It looks to be a later in the afternoon and evening storm event with a severe weather threat.
For Cinco de Mayo the rain will move out and leave us with sunshine and 70s for the 2nd half of Friday and the weekend.
